The Main Hall
For public entertainments the main hall is licensed to hold up to 150 persons.  It has a good wooden floor area of 167 m2 and is well lit by both natural and artificial light. 
It is equipped with a suspended lighting rig capable of powering up to 24 lamps.  A basic public address system and up to six lamps and dimmers and basic public address system are available for hire by special arrangement.  Goudhurst Village Hall
A small mobile stage can be readily positioned wherever required in the room.  20 tables to seat six persons at each, with 120 upholstered chairs, are available for use.

The Jessel Room
On the upper floor, this room is ideal for small group activities, committees and business meetings.  It has flexible seating arrangements and with a floor area of 35 m2 is designed to accommodate up to about 30 persons.
It does not offer access to the kitchen but does have its own tea/coffee making facilities.  Controls for lighting equipment in the main hall may be operated from here.

ALCOHOL Goudhurst Village Hall
There are no restrictions regarding the consumption of alcohol in the hall excepting if it is to be sold when a licence must be obtained from the licensing officer at the Tunbridge Wells Borough Council.

SMOKING
Smoking is prohibited by law anywhere within the hall; however a designated smoking area is provided with cigarette end bins outside the main door.

DISABLED FACILITIES
There is a designated area for car parking, ramp to the main entrance and disabled toilet facilities off the main hall.

CAR PARKING
There is parking for approximately eight cars on site and a public car park in Balcombes Hill about 75 m from the Hall.  There are no parking restrictions in Goudhurst and plenty of on-road parking is available.

No booking deposits are required but we do request and trust any cancellations are made as early as is possible.  A damage deposit may be requested at the discretion of the Booking Officer.

Hiring charges
Charges for the main hall include the use of kitchen facilities, furniture, lighting, use of dressing rooms and heating.  Time for preparation and tidying-up must be included in periods of hire.  Crockery and cutlery is available for hire.
