The Farm
Three Chimneys Farm was a traditional Kent hop farm, dating from the 16th Century. Hop farming ceased in the 1970s, and the oast houses, originally used for drying the hops, and other outbuildings have been converted to housing. The present farmyard is located over 100 metres from the holiday cottages.
The Cottages
All the cottages are stylishly, and individually furnished, with dish washers, washer/dryers, electric ovens and hobs, fridge freezers, microwave ovens, toasters, coffee makers, colour televisions, and telephones. Bed linen (duvets), tea towels and oven gloves are included; towels may be hired on request. There is ample parking, some cottages have an enclosed garden, some have a balcony or private patio, but all have use of the well kept grounds, with a badminton net, croquet, and tennis court. There is an unfenced pond in the grounds, 200 yards from the cottages.
Electricity is included from May to October, but charged at cost during the winter months. All central heating is electric, and all the cottages have wood burning stoves. Firewood can be purchased from us at £2.00 per basket. A selection of home cooked meals are available from the freezer. Barbecues can be supplied on request, and we can arrange baby sitters.
