AMENITIES Quorum 3 Members
Chairman: Cllr Mrs Stafford Cllrs Boniface, Mrs Edmonston, Kirkby and Ward
Meets every 2 months.
Maintains public areas (the Plain & Pond etc), play areas owned by GPC, the beacon, Goudhurst War Memorial, village signs, notice boards, bus shelters, litter clear up campaigns and dog fouling, Christmas lights, public benches (not in the Burial Grounds), trees. Monitors rural initiative schemes e.g. High Weald Project.

BURIAL BOARD Quorum 3 Members
Chairman: Cllr Nichol Cllrs Boniface, Noakes and Roberts
Advisers: Canon Peter Mackenzie and Mr Brian Henley
Meets at least 3 times annually.
Reviews and implements Goudhurst Burial Board Regulations, including fees and charges. Issues Exclusive Right of Burial Certificates, allocates burial plots and ashes plots, deals with permission for monuments, the collection of fees and charges, the processing of certificates for burials and the maintenance of official burial records. Liaises with Funeral Directors, gravediggers and bereaved families as required. Ensures that St Mary’s Churchyard, Goudhurst cemetery and burial grounds and Christ Church Churchyard are maintained in good order.

HIGHWAYS & FOOTPATHS Quorum 3 Members
Chairman: Cllrs Boniface, Mrs Chudley, Kirkby, Stockbridge and Ward Meets every 2 months.
Monitors the state of the highways, footpaths, drains, hedges, lighting, grit bins, road name signs and sign posting, traffic speed, parking and speed restriction signs and other traffic related matters and reports faults to the relevant authority. With the assistance of Honorary Footpath Officers, monitors the state of the footpaths, liaises with KCC, and arranges and supervises contract maintenance work. Monitors public transport matters.

HOUSING Quorum 3 Members
Chairman: Cllr Crookall Cllrs Mrs Edmonston, Stockbridge and Ward
Meets as necessary.
In accordance with the Section 106 agreement between Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, Goudhurst Parish Council and the relevant Housing Associations, monitors the administration of the relevant Housing Associations particularly relating to the allocation of affordable housing in the Parish. Carries out Housing Needs Surveys as required.

PLANNING Quorum 3 Members
Chairman: Cllr Noakes Cllrs Nichol, Stafford, Roberts, Stockbridge.
Meets twice monthly.
Considers all planning applications received via Tunbridge Wells Borough Council and makes recommendations and representations (applications considered contentious are approved by Council before being relayed to TWBC).

POLICY Quorum 3 Members
Chairman: Cllr Crookall Cllrs Nichol, Noakes, Stafford.
Meets at least annually.
Prepares an annual budget to determine the Precept for approval by Council. Annually reviews Council’s Standing Orders, Finance Regulations, insurance cover, banking arrangements and the Clerk’s remuneration, employment conditions and job description. Supervises the appointment of the Clerk to the Council.

YOUTH Quorum 3 Members
Chairman: Cllr Crookall Cllrs Mrs Chudley, Mrs Edmonston and Kirkby
Meets as necessary (but usually twice annually).
Assists local organisations by supporting the organisation and promotion of recreational projects to occupy and inspire young people in the Parish.

The Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Parish Council are ex-officio on all Committees.
